The Wheatbelt stretches to Jurien Bay to the north of Perth, Southern Cross to the east, Wagin to the south and Lake Grace to the south east. It is officially divided into four sub-regions.
- Avon (Shires of Beverley, Cunderdin, Dowerin, Goomalling, Koorda, Northam, Quairading, Tammin, Toodyay, Wyalkatchem and York)
- Central East (Shires of Bruce Rock, Kellerberrin, Merredin, Mt Marshall, Mukinbudin, Narembeen, Nungarin, Trayning, Westonia and Yilgarn)
- Central South (Shires of Brookton, Corrigin, Cuballing, Dumbleyung, Kondinin, Kulin, Lake Grace, Narrogin, Pingelly, Wagin, Wandering, West Arthur, Wickepin and Williams plus the Town of Narrogin)
